Celebrating Over a Decade of Grantmaking

The 2009 Grant Awards

This year The Vermont Women's Fund received another record number of proposals during our annual grant cycle - totalling $677,646 from 96 applicants.

We are pleased to be able to provide $131,294 in funding to 20 of those organizations. Their vital and innovative programming, along with that of countless others around the state, has a direct impact on our communities and is helping to ensure a strong and healthy future for Vermont.

Thank You and Congratulations!

A Legacy of Grantmaking

The Vermont Women's Fund harnesses the collective power of giving to promote leadership, equality, self-sufficiency, and philanthropy for Vermont women and girls.

In twelve years of grantmaking the VWF has awarded over $1 million to 127 organizations statewide, working to ensure that all women and girls realize their potential and building vital communities throughout the state.

Our grants are made from a $2 million endowment built by more than 1,000 Vermonters.  These grants help women and girls move out of poverty, establish safe relationships, choose healthy behaviors, build financial management skills, master non-traditional occupations, and much, much more.
