Meet Our 2025 Grantees
This year, 39 nonprofit organizations received grants totaling $359,336. These grants support programs advancing economic security and opportunity for women+, girls, and gender diverse individuals throughout Vermont.
“Through targeted grantmaking, we’re investing in the leadership, wellbeing, and economic security of women and girls across the state. These funds are more than just financial support—they’re a commitment to equity and opportunity for every woman and girl in Vermont to thrive,” shared Emily Bush, director of the Vermont Women’s Fund.
For this grant cycle, we received significantly more applications than in years past. Applications were reviewed by the Vermont Women’s Fund Council, a dedicated group of leaders based throughout the state. Our Council member Alison Whritenour said, “As organizations adjust to funding cuts from the current administration, it is imperative that we remain focused on the urgent issues affecting women today, such as childcare, housing insecurity, mental health, and workforce development. It’s a balance, responding to immediate community needs and driving long-term system change.”
