July 11 | Vermont Women’s Fund Announces 2025 Grants
The Vermont Women’s Fund, a component fund of the Vermont Community Foundation, is pleased to announce its 2025 grant cycle awards. This year, awards were distributed to 39 nonprofit organizations across the state, totaling $359,336. These grants support programs advancing economic security and opportunity for women+, girls, and gender diverse individuals throughout Vermont.
“Through targeted grantmaking, we’re investing in the leadership, wellbeing, and economic security of women and girls across the state. These funds are more than just financial support—they’re a commitment to equity and opportunity for every woman and girl in Vermont to thrive,” shared Emily Bush, director of the Vermont Women’s Fund.
“This year, we received significantly more applications than in years past,” Bush reported. Applications were reviewed by the Vermont Women’s Fund Council, a dedicated group of leaders based throughout the state. Elaborating on the increase in funding requests this year, Alison Whritenour of the Council explained, “As organizations adjust to funding cuts from the current administration, it is imperative that we remain focused on the urgent issues affecting women today, such as childcare, housing insecurity, mental health, and workforce development. It’s a balance, responding to immediate community needs and driving long-term system change.”
Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for grant funding from the Vermont Women’s Fund can expect the next grant cycle to open for applications in January of 2026.
